About the Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Stag Elevators, you will bridge Italian design principles with bespoke Indian residential architecture. You will create custom structural drawings, glass shaft layouts, and mechanical assemblies tailored to specific client architectural plans.
Key Responsibilities
01Produce detailed 2D/3D CAD models and production drawings for elevator shafts, cabins, counterweight frames, and structural supports.
02Perform structural load calculations, stress analysis, and material selection for custom home elevator installations.
03Work closely with our European manufacturing partners to integrate design improvements and modular customizations.
04Review client civil drawings and provide architectural shaft interface details and clearance specifications.
05Support site installation teams with technical clarifications and custom bracket/structural designs.
Requirements & Qualifications
013 to 5 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in elevator engineering, sheet metal, or structural fabrication.
02Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and sheet metal design modules.
03Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes (laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, powder coating).
04Strong understanding of mechanical tolerances, GD&T, and structural safety factors.
05Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with European elevator standard EN 81-41 / EN 81-20.
Experience with glass cladding and architectural metal finishing.
